Discover Your Life’s Purpose in 6 Easy Steps

The number of people not having a clue why they are here is frightening. What’s even more frightening is the number of people who don’t know what having a purpose means.

Let’s start from the beginning. What is a purpose?

A purpose is the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists. It is usually something we care about with all of our soul and something we need to discover about ourselves.

Nobody is born with a list where it is written what their purpose is. You will live as happy as anybody even if you don’t know the word “purpose”. That’s fine, no one will judge you.

But, there will always be a void deep inside of you which you cannot fill. You will always desperately try to hide how incomplete you feel deep inside. That’s because you neglect your own soul, who you really are.

As I said, do whatever you like, you don’t have to have a purpose for the world to continue spinning, but, at least stop whining how boring your job is or that life is tough. That’s just being desperately weak.

Having a purpose means living for something bigger than you; having a feeling that you are here to make this world more beautiful; having an endless source of energy; discovering and sharing your own uniqueness; finding yourself in the midst of the chaos; having a meaning;

To follow your purpose is the most important thing in your life. Everything else is just a false belief installed by Society and Media. Following your purpose is the meaning of life. Following your purpose is the only way of being complete; the only way of becoming fulfilled.

So, what can we do about this? How can we discover what our purpose is?

In fact, it is really easy. It takes just 20 minutes from your life and you know why you have a life. Most importantly, you know why life has you!

Here is what you need to do:

1. Close your eyes.
2. Take 20 deep breaths and let your thoughts flow (whatever thought comes to your mind let it flow, don’t focus on it – focus on your breathing).
3. Immediately after, and only after your 20th breath loudly ask yourself – “What is my purpose in life?”
4. Take a piece of paper, take a pen and write every idea that pops in your mind (no matter how stupid or childish it sounds).
5. Do this for 5 minutes and ask yourself “What is my purpose in life?”
6. Do this until the answer makes you cry.

THE ANSWER THAT MAKES YOU CRY IS YOUR PURPOSE! – Start implementing habits that steer you towards it.

Sometimes your purpose can be to create a better world. Sometimes it can be something as small as becoming a professional photographer; but every purpose, no matter how insignificant it seems to others, adds up to the greater good each of us unknowingly serves.

Anything that is strong enough to bring tears to your eyes is important, no opinion of what others think is relevant. That’s who you are!

The greatest satisfaction in life, if we speak sincere and from our heart, is being true to ourselves. If something doesn’t resonate with who you are or makes you to be something you are not, IT IS NOT WORTHY OF YOUR TIME – YOU ARE GOING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION.

Take the steering wheel of your life and steer your “boat” towards your dream land – your happy place.
