The Pentagon Has Been Making Plans For a ‘Long War’ With Russia and China

Earlier this year the Pentagon began ‘redesigning the force’ to make up for the challenges ahead in regards to Russia and China.

While you may be hearing a lot about China, Russia, and the US, in general, this is something no one should ignore.

According to the recent National Defense Strategy, great power competitors have been named as the major challenges facing the Pentagon in recent times.

The tensions that have clearly been building are going to come to a head at some point whether the people want them to or not. The US government wants more power and will stop at nothing to get it.

David Norquist of the Pentagon actually said as follows when releasing the Pentagon’s almost 700 billion dollar budget request earlier this year:

“Great power competition, not terrorism, has emerged as the central challenge to US security and prosperity. It is increasingly apparent that China and Russia want to shape a world consistent with their authoritarian values and, in the process, replace the free and open order that has enabled global security and prosperity since World War II.”

“We recognize that, if unaddressed, the eroding US military advantage versus China and Russia could undermine our ability to deter aggression and coercion in key strategic regions.”

Planning for a ‘real war’ against someone so big was never given priority until now. Of course, this shift is going to cost far more than our ‘war’ with the middle eastern world. The ‘long-war’ on terror has been nothing compared to what could be to come.

Those in power know exactly what they are doing and our well-being is not in their best interests.
