Apollo veteran astronaut Edgar Mitchell firmly believes that "peacekeeping" aliens have stopped humanity from destroying itself.
The Apollo mission astronaut has made an incredible statement saying that Aliens have come to our planet to avoid a nuclear catastrophe between two of the most powerful countries on earth, Russia and United States.
In an interview to Mirror Online, Edgar Mitchell spoke about Alien life and UFO and said that top-ranking military sources have spotted innumerable UFOs during weapon testing.
Edgar Mitchell is one of the most prominent figures that has talked about the possibility of Alien life elsewhere in the cosmos.
And who better than him, to talk about Aliens? Edgar Mitchell, former naval officer and aviator, test pilot, aeronautical engineer, and NASA astronaut.
As the Lunar Module Pilot of Apollo 14, he spent nine hours working on the lunar surface in the Fra Mauro Highlands region, making him the sixth person to walk on the Moon.
The former Astronaut spoke about the famous White Sands facility and how military insiders had seen numerous weird shaped flying crafts over missile bases around the US.
Mitchell told Mirror Online:
"White Sands was a testing ground for atomic weapons — and that's what the extraterrestrials were interested in. They wanted to know about our military capabilities. My own experience talking to people has made it clear the ETs had been attempting to keep us from going to war and help create peace on Earth."But it seems that everyone who has worked at a military base such as White Sands had something to say about UFOs.
"I have spoken to many Air Force officers who worked at these silos during the Cold War," he continued. They told me UFOs were frequently seen overhead and often disabled their missiles. But there are different views when it comes to Mitchell's statements; former Ministry of Defence, Nick Pope says that Mitchell is a "honourable and truthful man" and that he most likely would have had access to highly classified information from government, military and intelligence community personnel but since he won't name his sources, no one can be certain that the individuals were "truthful" when speaking to Mitchell about the UFO incidents.
"Other officers from bases on the Pacific coast told me their [test] missiles were frequently shot down by alien spacecraft. There was a lot of activity in those days," Mitchell added.
"There have certainly been some intriguing UFO sightings around nuclear facilities, and around military bases more generally, but an alternative explanation is that some of these sightings are attributable to espionage activity involving secret spy planes or drones.By EWAO
"Given that the Universe is around 14 billion years old, if we're being visited, it's unlikely we're dealing with a civilisation just a few hundred years ahead of us, so stories of aliens managing to disrupt a few of our weapons tests are far-fetched. Chances are they'd be millions of years ahead of us and could do anything they wanted to."
