Muammar Gaddafi - The Truth!

The media has successfully painted Gaddafi as a hard-core dictator, tyrant or whatever you want to call him. And, as usual, it failed to show the kind, giving Gaddafi we have never heard of.
Let us get to the unknown facts about the Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi:

1. There is no electricity bill in Libya; electricity is free for all its citizens.

2. There is no interest on loans, banks in Libya are state-owned and loans given to all its citizens at 0% interest by law.

3. Housing is considered a human right in Libya – Gaddafi vowed that his parents would not get a house until everyone in Libya had a home. Gaddafi’s father died while him, his wife and his mother were still living in a tent.

4. All newlyweds in Libya receive $60,000 Dinar (US$50,000) by the government to buy their first apartment so to help start up the family.

5. Education and medical treatments are free in Libya. Before Gaddafi only 25% of Libyans were literate. Today the figure is 83%.

6. Should Libyans want to take up farming careers, they would receive farming land, a farming house, equipments, seeds and livestock to kick-start their farms – all for free.

7. If Libyans cannot find the education or medical facilities they need in Libya, the government funds them to go abroad for it – not only free, but they also get US$2,300/month for accommodation and car allowance.

8. If a Libyan buys a new car from Libya, the government subsidized 50% of the price.

9. The price of petrol in Libya is only $0.14 per liter.

10. Libya has no external debt and its reserves amount to $150 billion – now frozen globally.

11. If a Libyan is unable to get employment after graduation, the state would pay the average salary of the profession as if he or she is employed, until employment is found.

12. A portion of Libyan oil sale is credited directly to the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens.

13. A mother who gives birth to a child receives US$5,000 ;

14. 40 loaves of bread in Libya costs only $0.15 ;

15. 25% of Libyans have a University degree;

16. Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest irrigation project, known as the Great Man-Made River project, to make water readily available throughout the desert country. The water is free of charge.
Prior to the international sanction placed on Gaddafi & Libya in the 1980s, the country was one of the richest in the world by GDP per capita – with a living standard higher than Japan. It was the richest in Africa before the revolution.

The living standard – GDP per capita is $11,314 for Libya. One cannot claim the Libyans are poor if they live better than many of the Western citizens. Gaddafi always looked after the average Libyan.

A country’s wealth used to depend on how much gold it had in the treasury, not how many dollars it traded. Libya also has 144 tons of gold. The UK, for example, has twice as much, but ten times the population.

“If Gaddafi had intent to try to re-price his oil or whatever else the country was selling on the global market and accepts something else as a currency or maybe launches a gold dinar currency. Any move such as that would certainly not be welcomed by the power elite today, who are responsible for controlling the world’s central banks,” says Anthony Wile, founder and chief editor of the Daily Bell.

17. Under Gaddafi’s oil-revenue-sharing program, each Libyan gets $500 (DOLLARS) dumped into his or her bank account, each month.

18. Women in Libya have equal rights, not only as a philosophy, but also in practice.

19. Libyans have a direct participatory democracy based on People’s Conferences that puts other “democracies” to shame.

A Google search on these will give you answers or more questions. One thing is certain: the Libyans never knew the meaning of poverty under Gaddafi.

Regarding the so called terrorists: Libya is the only country in North Africa where terrorists do not exist. Fundamentalists have no voice whatsoever in Libya. Not a single terror-incident has been recorded in Libya during Gaddafi’s regime. (inamibia.co.na)

After reading this, I ask you:
Do you think it was a people's revolution or another well-planned coup?
and
Was Gaddafi a tyrant or a hero of the Libyan people?

  4. Indeed, there is ample proof of the good things Mahroom Gaddafi had done to develop Libya during His 42 years as The Libyan Leader...
Much development of the nation saw the new face of modern Libya because of THE COL...
It was a planned coup De tat after the fall of Hosny Mubarak of Egypt...It is without doubt The Col. was the heart and soul of Libya...
He kept His word and did not cowardly flee Libya...
He was murdered and died a martyr...
MAY GOD IN' HIS MERCY OFFER HIM JENNA AS MAHROOM'S FINAL DESTINATION...AMEEN

  7. I don't know much about the Gaddafi and the tyranny he made to Libyans and definitely ALLAH will judge him for his wrong deeds.
But I am particularly very upset the way he is been killed and his corpse been dishonored and degraded in the streets of Sirte.

  8. Lockerbie isn't in Libya. Maybe some remedial geography is in order.

  9. Whenever, I saw, in the news, that he had travelled to the United States, Gaddaffi brought his large tent with him. Even in sweltering heat, he refused grander and more comfortable accomodations, such as, simple running water, and air-conditioning. Yet, it seems to me, he could choose to have had, materially, anything he wanted.

In this past week, we learned that Steve Jobs had passed on. Jobs was worth over 7 billion dollars. Yet, he had no security, with him hidden behind a fortress with huge towering iron gates, on his own enourmous private compound. Neighbors could walk into the house through the kitchen door of his home he usually left unlocked and open.

Gaddafi and Jobs, both passed on in approx. the same week. These two seemed somewhat similar, at least, in some ways, where, beyond mind-boggling enormous personal wealth, what else really is there in life? What values?

I'm a Westerner (U.S.), that suspects we are lied to constantly by the media in every arena, and would just like to sincerely know the truth regarding Gaddaffi's personality and character.

  11. Oh come on. He was a brutal dictator who suppressed dissent and freedoms within his country. He sent assassins to other countries to kill Libyans who left the country. He supported terrorism. Sure, Libyans had a higher standard of living than other Africans, but they are an oil rich country. Gaddafi ripped them off by the $billions and his family lived a very lavish lifestyle. The celebration by the Libyan people at his removal from power seems very genuine to me.

  12. He was such a loving leader that in the last 8 months he ordered the cold blooded murder of 20,000+ civilians of his own nation.

"19. Libyans have a direct participatory democracy based on People’s Conferences that puts other “democracies” to shame."

This quote does not even make sense, there has not been a democratic election in libya in the last 4 decades, he has been in power for almost half a century and even when the discontent of his leadership is evident by thousands of people in the street, he still refuses to step down and orders his troops to open fire in protesting crowds, and shells public gatherings. That sounds like real democracy.

  13. (1) I was in Romania during the 1989 so called "people's revolution" under dictator Ceausescu. It was a joke! A 100% Western coup, with the sole purpose to loot the country of its wealth!

There were hundreds of reasons for the coup to take place. First of all, Ceausescu was a communist & pro-USSR.

    - Romania had NO external debt + US $2.7 billions in the National Bank + US $10 billion to receive from other countries from exports (in 1989!). The exports were rapidly increasing.

    - Romania was mass-exporting cereals, wine, weapons (especially the PKM), ammunition, etc. - while not importing a single product.

    - Romania also had oil fields and all the petrol used was internal.

    - Romania's gold exploitation gave a $5 billions/year profit and had tens of tons of gold in the treasury. The gold mines were expanding.

All Romanians had jobs, the unemployment was 0%, all had cars, homes and savings in the National bank. All that while the country was prospering (the communist state was building roads, apartment buildings, factories, etc.)

When the coup started, Ceausescu was abroad, negotiating with some Arab countries the establishment of the first European Bank. Imagine that!

Romania was about to become a world player. Fairly rich & with a very solid economy.

    Why were the people unhappy?
Mostly, yes, but not because they were poor. The social distress had to do with the people's liberties being restrained by Ceausescu's Police and Secret Services.

Also, the people had money, but there were not too many products to spend them on. Everything was limited and rationalized.

The country was prospering at high speed, but the people were paying the price. Ceausescu was a dictator and oppressor. His intentions might have been good, but the price was too high.

The Romanians never imagined that removing Ceausescu from power could mean what it actually meant. Most of them thought that his son, Nicu (who was very loved, especially in Sibiu) will step in his father's place and give more liberties to the people. That's all the people ever wanted!

  14. (2) But the Western powers had other plans. They infiltrated highly trained agents to start a war from inside. At the same time, their diplomats planned a "people's revolution". All the state's influence was working against Ceausescu.

The secret agents working for the coup to take place were active everywhere, from those shooting civilians in the streets, to those more subtle spreading disinformation at TV and making the Army fight against the Police. It was a nightmare. Not even the 'Army Chief of Staff' had any clue what is going on.

During the coup, there was only one thing shouted everywhere: "the terrorists"! Who invented this word and for what purpose? Nobody ever heard of terrorists or terrorism in Romania before, and most people had no idea what this word even meant.

The civilians were armed by the Army and asked to call themselves "revolutionaries". They were warned that terrorists are killing civilians and they should shoot back without questions. Also, they were informed that the Police was working for Ceausescu and they will shoot them at sight.

Imagine the chaos! The people were shooting each other, while the highly trained foreign agents were conducting guerrilla strikes against the army, police and the people. A sniper shot at my father-in-law and it was a near miss. He was going home, carying groceries. There was nothing offensive about him, just a random dude arriving home from work. I went and saw the bullet holes and marks in that building. I can only imagine what he went through, knowing that his wife and daughter were in the same building. Then, the sniper begun randomly shooting through the windows of all apartments. The people were lying on the floor, while the widnows were being blown by bullets.

There are thousands of buildings in Romania who still bare the marks of those sad days. Thousands of innocent people had been killed or wounded during the coup.

    ReplyDelete
  15. (3) Highly trained special troops operated in Romania. They knew exactly how the Romanian armored vehicles can be taken out with ease. They clogged the exhaust pipes in some light tank models, making the exhaust smoke to flood the interior and choke the soldiers inside. Those trying to escape, had been executed outside.

They also infiltrated demonstrators, giving them free alcoholic drinks. It was December and most people drunk to get warm. Afterwards, the angry mob was easily controllable. They've led them towards governmental buildings or police stations. The mob killed innocent people without even knowing why.

Ceausescu and his wife were caught and executed by firing squad after a brief and lame "trial". The judge killed himself few years later, when he finally understood that he was manipulated.

Nicu Ceausescu was arrested and convicted. He died only few years later, in 1996.

Then, the Economic Hitmen have been sent in and killed Romania's Economy.

Watch "The Confessions of an Economic Hitman":
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pA5bwYWvGtc&feature=related

22+ years later, Romania is almost economically dead. All its industry died, thousands of factories (enterprises) had been closed, hundreds of thousand of workers fired.

All gold mines had been closed and the gold from treasury moved abroad. Romania received some papers in exchange, called certificates. Fare trade, isn't it?

Romania is banned from exporting cereals in the UE. It's Spain's & Portugal's job to do that. Agriculture also died in time. There are only few private corporations who make money from agriculture. I'm expecting Monsanto to knowk at the door from time to time and take over. It's easy to pay out those involved and take over their already established businesses.

Romania has now enormous external debt (especially towards the International Monetary Fund) and making more and more each year. The people are against taking any more loans from the IMF, they are protesting each year - but nobody minds them!

The energetic and oil national companies had been sold to foreign corporations, who raise the price each 3-4 months.

The salaries drop each year, instead of raising - at least to keep the pace with inflation.

This is what will happen in Libya in the following years. The country will be looted by all its fortune and the people will be left to die.

All I want is for people to understand is that there is no such thing as the "people's revolution", only well-planned coups.

NATO is a big step towards the one world government, entirely controlled by the elites.

The Occupy Movement could be the first REAL, People's Revolution. I only hope for it not to be hijacked from inside and turned against us. This is what they do best!
